Hannah, the powerful director of a vast railway station, after a life strictly dedicated to work and career advancement, experiences something radically transformative at the age of 45: she falls hopelessly in love with a man, a musician at a cocktail party, Adam. He barely remembers her and doesn't even know who she is; she, however, is unable to recover from the encounter. She will then use her position of power and all the resources the station, almost like a living organism, offers to prevent the man she loves from leaving the country: she will invalidate his passport, and the station's security personnel will act as his personal guard. A modern-day Circe in an extraordinary contemporary fable, where the technological thriller, the political comic, and a love drama exploring the limits of toxicity intersect in a way that, alongside other collective characters such as the inverts or the union, brings to the forefront a critique of the mechanisms of surveillance capitalism and the profit-driven society.
