Desaparecer

Since her native country declared war on a neighboring state, M. has been living in the city of B., an exile in a kind of limbo, cut off from her home and mother tongue, and unable to write. However, during a trip abroad for a literary festival, when she finds herself stranded in an unfamiliar city with no way to contact anyone, she feels liberated rather than lost; finally free of all ties, her only desire is to leave behind not just her former life but her very identity, and simply disappear.
