La Antídoto

The Antidote of Uz, a prairie witch, can store anyone's memories. Simply speaking to her through her emerald-green trumpet is enough to transfer secrets, joys, and shames to the witch, erasing them from the minds of those who reveal them. But the Black Sunday storm ravages the fields, buries the houses, and evaporates all the memories the Antidote guarded. When she awakens, she is empty. She has lost the only thing that gave her power. If anyone discovers this, their life will be in danger. Asphodel, captain of the girls' basketball team and an aspiring prairie witch herself, decides to help her. With the help of her uncle, a Polish farmer, and a New Deal photographer with an enchanted camera, they will try to confront the curse that has rendered the land barren and is driving the town to starvation.
