El sueño de Troya

In an attempt to escape the empty life awaiting him in Athens, young Nicholas Yannikis ventures on an archaeological expedition to the hill of Hisarlik, in the heart of the dying Ottoman Empire. It is there that the ambitious millionaire Heinrich Schliemann and his brilliant wife, Sophia, claim to have discovered the ruins of the mythical city of Troy—lost since antiquity. Amidst the stifling heat of the Aegean, what initially appears to be a simple excavation soon reveals itself to be a dangerous, obsessive quest for vengeance that pushes the boundaries of sanity. Pursuing the treasures of the *Iliad*, Nicholas comes to realize that some dreams ultimately doom those who chase them.
