Petirrojo (Harry Hole, 3)

The year is 2000. In Oslo, the throat-slashed body of an elderly Nazi militant is found in the street. Harry Hole, reassigned to the secret service after a serious blunder, notices a connection between this crime and the contents of a report among the many tedious documents that pass through his hands daily: someone bought a Märklin rifle, an extremely expensive and precise weapon used by neo-Nazi groups. Harry Hole will try to uncover the link between these two cases and realizes that the origin of it all may lie much further back, to what happened among a group of Norwegian soldiers during the Siege of Leningrad in World War II. But what connection could there be between what happened so many years ago and that mysterious figure nicknamed "The Prince," who is the focus of all the police investigations into arms trafficking?
