Desconexión (Saga Desconexión, 1)

Connor is too rebellious. Risa, an orphan the state doesn't find it worthwhile to keep alive. Lev is a tithe, a child born and raised to be disconnected. And all three are going to die. In the not-too-distant future, the United States government has implemented disconnection: a measure that allows parents to donate the bodies of their children between the ages of thirteen and eighteen (their entire bodies: their eyes, their hearts, their bones, their skin...) to other people in need of transplants. Disconnection is common and socially accepted among Americans... except among those who are about to be disconnected. People like Connor, Risa, and Lev, whose paths cross as they flee from the authorities. Will they, together, make it to eighteen in one piece?
