A decade ago, gigantic robots known as the Harvesters appeared in orbit around the nine core planets that make up the United Galactic Council (UGC), devastating all of humanity before vanishing. The small robot TIM-21 seems to hold the key to what these invaders want and why they came. This second and final volume of the Descender omnibus edition, which includes volumes 4 through 6 of the series, leads us toward the story's conclusion, where the various factions that have been pursuing TIM-21 finally converge around the ocean planet Mata, as the robots embark on their galactic revolution. But nothing can prepare the young android Tim, or the readers, for what is about to happen.
