Mafalda, 10

Mafalda, along with her friends Felipe, Susanita, Manolito, Miguelito, and Libertad, is a symbol of our society. A nonconformist, compassionate, and sensitive girl, she was born in 1964, as Quino said, as "a girl trying to solve the dilemma of who the good guys and bad guys are in this world." From the beginning, she showed a great critical spirit, and in her very first comic strips, she built a couch for her doll to psychoanalyze her. Today, Mafalda continues to invite us to think, to reject prejudice, to love, and to dream of a better world, and we continue to turn to her to understand ourselves and the crazy world we live in.
