The Normans want to learn how to be afraid. The Gauls have just the right man to teach them. Gudurix arrives in the Gaulish village from Lutetia convinced that his country cousins ​​are hopeless bumpkins. He has a sports car, a fashionable haircut, and an extraordinary knack for staying out of trouble. What he doesn't know is that Gaul has other plans for him. While Asterix and Obelix try, with little success, to turn the young city dweller into something resembling a warrior, a fleet of imposing Norsemen lands on the coast with a most peculiar mission: they want to learn how to feel fear, because they've heard that "fear gives wings" and they've been longing to fly for some time. They capture Gudurix, convinced that this terrified boy is the master they've been searching for. They're not wrong. What follows is one of the funniest adventures in the series: slapstick that doesn't intimidate anyone, a culture clash of epic proportions, and the revelation that the village's most powerful weapon isn't the magic potion but Cacofonix's song. The bard, for once in his life, saves the day. But he'd better not get too used to it, because the final feast suggests that no one is keen to repeat the experience.
