Rintarô Tsumugi is a student at the infamous Chidori Boys' Academy, while Kaoruko Waguri attends the prestigious Kikyô Girls' Academy. Both have entered their final year of high school and attend the opening ceremony with their classmates, full of anticipation for what lies ahead. However, that same day, Kaoruko's mother suddenly faints. Although the situation isn't serious, Kaoruko becomes very nervous, and Rintarô is there to comfort her. Afterward, the Waguri family suggests a takoyaki party at their house, during which Rintarô goes out to buy them with Kaoruko's father. What will they talk about now that they're alone together for the first time?
