Deep within the forest lives a colony inhabited by tiny beings. Shiita and his best friend Nara live there, believing the forest to be their own backyard, and spend their days having adventures. One day, they spot a column of smoke in the distance, seemingly intentional. Nara suggests Shiita leave the colony to investigate. There, he encounters Izuna, who intends to kill Shiita's father. Young Shiita ventures into the dangerous outside world in search of his best friend, who has vanished into the forest!
