Paul and Chelsea Tanner have celebrated a fairytale wedding and seem to have a lifetime of happiness ahead of them. But their honeymoon trip to Paris takes an unexpected and tragic turn when they are kidnapped during a trip through the French countryside. Who would want to hurt them... and why? They soon discover that this is not an isolated incident. The search for answers crosses borders as the FBI, the CIA, and French intelligence services try to piece together an increasingly disturbing puzzle. With no clear leads and in a race against time, a young lawyer is recruited to serve as bait in a complex and risky CIA operation.
