Mikey Pruitt, president, founder, and CEO of Any Inc., is a twelve-year-old boy born to be an entrepreneur. His greatest inspiration is his grandfather, Pap Pruitt, who built all sorts of successful businesses, from a car wash to a boiled peanut stand. Mikey, however, is still actively searching for his own million-dollar idea. Unfortunately, most of the businesses he's started so far have failed. A mini-tornado destroyed his grocery store, and the kids in his neighborhood skipped their second croquet lesson. But Mikey isn't about to give up. When drag kid Coco Caliente, Lover of Madness and Chaos (aka Julian Vasquez, a senior) shows up at Mikey's office (that is, the car wash/storage room in his garage) looking for an agent, he finally stumbles upon the million-dollar idea he's been searching for. And that's how Any Talent Management & Cache was born! From then on, Mikey builds up a large clientele of young people who want to showcase their talents or, at the very least, win the $100 prize at the school talent show. While Mikey, who has just come out, helps Julian prepare for the most important performance of his life, he discovers that there are no hard and fast rules about being gay. It's then that Mikey figures that if Julian doesn't have to hide his homosexuality at school, neither should he, and that way he could confess his feelings to the boy he likes, the adorable Colton Sanford. This hilarious and heartwarming story, full of laughter, absurdity, and mischief, reminds us that with a little effort and a lot of love, anything is possible.
