El dinero de Hitler

Gita Lauschmannová is a 16-year-old Jewish girl who returns home to the Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia after surviving the extermination at Auschwitz, where her parents and older sister perished. When she opens the door to what had been her home, she finds a family sitting at the dining room table, telling her that this is her house and that Gita has no business being there. Gita gradually discovers that she is not only homeless but that the oppression and barbarity are far from over. Orphaned, impoverished, and with nowhere to return to, for Gita, life is no longer a matter of good and evil but of sheer survival. Sixty years later, Gita returns to her hometown. The time has come to demand justice. Her arrival unsettles her former neighbors. Because everyone has something, or a great deal, to hide. Gita is no exception.
