La doncella y su monstruo

As the daughter of a healer, Malka has witnessed firsthand the devastation wrought by the forest's curse on her village. However, when the Ozmini Church arrives to collect tithes, they ignore the villagers' warnings about a monster lurking in the woods. After a young clergywoman ventures too close to the forest and Malka's mother is accused of her murder, Malka makes an impossible deal with a fanatical Ozmini priest: if he brings the monster before him, he will spare her mother's life. Venturing deeper into the blood-soaked forest, Malka encounters a monster, though not the one she expected. Instead, she finds an enigmatic, disgraced golem who agrees to help her on the condition that Malka accompany her to free the rabbi who created her and who has been imprisoned. But just because an agreement is easy to seal doesn't mean it's easy to keep, and, as their pact begins to reveal a far more sinister threat, protecting her people could force Malka to endanger the one person she ever had to leave home for... and to confront her feelings toward the very creature she was taught to fear.
