It is 1936, a time of artistic and political upheaval. Fascism is gaining strength in Europe. In Spain, the civil war is about to erupt. Jonás leaves Madrid and travels to Cadaqués (Girona) in search of peace and quiet, but an air of mystery shrouds the small fishing village. Its inhabitants are terrified of the painter who lives on the beach at Port Lligat. Salvador Deseo, the Catalan surrealist painter, is going through his most eccentric and brilliant creative period. He needs the land of Cap de Creus to paint. And as Jonás will discover during the days he spends in his house, he also needs its people to give shape to his nightmares...
