Their mission is to save the universe, but what they're really good at is causing chaos on every page. In this full-color children's graphic novel, the spaceship patrolling space is a giant orange cat, and the crew is, quite literally, the most incompetent in the universe. At the helm is Captain Cosmic, convinced he was born to save galaxies and collect medals, though the reality is he spends his days playing with action figures of himself and making cosmic-scale blunders. Crashed banks, ancient temples turned into amusement parks, and planets deflating like balloons: here, heroism always comes at a price. Around him is a team as eccentric as it is endearing: an elastic scientist who fixes things with a hammer, a loudmouthed robot who boasts of having a brain but is guided by his gut, a feline pilot who only understands himself, and geometric villains determined to flatten the cosmos like a pancake. Between galactic bottlenecks, absurd bombs, robotic vampires drinking planets like smoothies, and art museums turned into ground zero, each episode raises the stakes of disaster a little higher. And yet, by sheer chance (and the occasional well-timed robot fart), the universe still exists.
