The once-great industrial civilization has vanished beyond the mists of time, and the Earth's surface is covered by the Toxic Sea, a vast fungal forest that emits poisonous fumes. The few surviving people live on the shores of the Toxic Sea, organized into kingdoms scattered across the land. —The Valley of the Wind— A small kingdom with a population of about 500, barely protected from the Toxic Sea's pollution by the breeze that blows in from the ocean.
