Elisa Morán is a literary translator with a peculiar working method. She thinks, behaves, and dresses like the protagonists of each book she translates, and even recreates the fictional world of the characters in her own home. Her eccentricities have strained her relationship with her husband, Joaquín, who ends up cheating on her with her former friend, Berta. Elisa disappears, just as Agatha Christie did after her husband's infidelity, and everything becomes even more complicated when a body is discovered inside a recycling plant, triggering a police investigation with Elisa as both suspect and amateur investigator.
