Cara a cara (Serie D. C. Stars, 1)

Ever since she was a little girl, Emmy Hartwell has dreamed of playing in the national hockey league. By joining the D.C. Stars, a team that's not exactly thriving, she'll finally get to showcase her talent. Maverick Miller is the league's best player and captain of the D.C. Stars. Desperate to win, he agrees to get along with the team's fiery new member, even though they're complete opposites. When tensions flare and they spend a night together, Emmy and Maverick swear it'll be a one-night stand, just long enough to focus on the game. After all, Emmy has a policy of not dating other players, and Maverick simply doesn't date anyone. However, that "one-night stand" soon turns into two, then three. Although they agree to be friends with benefits only until the end of the season, will they be able to ignore the chemistry they have off the ice?
