Why does Santa Claus never bring little Gwyneth presents? Marley, her father, wants to find out the truth. Along with Gwyneth, her cheerful sister Holly, and the mysterious Nanook, he sets off from Skagway, their Alaskan village, in search of a legendary land where the inhabitants talk to animals and the air smells like marshmallows.
