Un asunto pendiente

Lieutenant Philippe Andreani of the Nancy police isn't surprised when his daughter Lisa tells him that an elderly man has died at the nursing home where she works. It's only when she contacts him the next day, asking for his help because the deceased didn't have a social security number, that he realizes something is amiss. Despite having been suspended for shooting a suspect in the street, Andreani then begins investigating the victim's seemingly nonexistent past. Thus begins a race against time and oblivion that will lead him into one of the darkest and most controversial periods in the history of the French Republic: the Algerian War. But that's not all. As the investigation progresses, the lieutenant will encounter elements that feel strangely familiar, forcing him to confront his own past.
