Una vida lejana

Western Australia, 1958. For generations, the MacBrides have lived on Meredith Downs, a vast and remote sheep farm: hundreds of thousands of hectares of arid land where the endless, timeless landscape imposes its own laws and makes the fragility of human existence visible. One ordinary day, on a lonely road under an endless sky, the patriarch, Phil MacBride, swerves to avoid a kangaroo. In a matter of seconds, the lives of the entire family are shattered. But the tragedy doesn't end there: a chain of consequences will claim the life of one of the brothers and lead another to renounce everything for the sake of an innocent child. Matt, the youngest of the MacBrides, will be thrust into a moral and emotional journey without maps or certainties, forced to choose between love and duty, sacrifice and happiness.
