Iris's dream is about to come true. She's a rising star in ballet, and her dance club has just been selected to participate in Louisiana's most prestigious competition: the Seven Dances Gala. Angel, star of the football team, takes an unexpected turn when he and his teammates are suddenly assigned as dance partners to help Iris's club in their competition. Iris and he have known each other their whole lives, since Angel is her older brother's best friend. But then tragedy struck both families, and since what happened, Angel and Iris haven't seen each other.
