At the end of the 16th century, in a world fractured by faith and steel, a man walked the border between two irreconcilable universes. Muley Xeque, a Moroccan prince and heir to a disputed throne, was forced into exile by the bloody dynastic struggles of the Maghreb in a desperate flight that would take him to the heart of the Spanish Empire. Through this fictionalized biography, we explore the court salons and the Italian exile of a tormented man whose life intersected with giants like Lope de Vega, Cervantes, and Pope Paul V. In a Spain that dictated the expulsion of the Moriscos and viewed converts with suspicion, Don Felipe fought to maintain his dignity in the face of the Inquisition's threat.
