The world begins to end like this: the day a dome appears over the Earth, a third of humanity ceases to be human. The new, empty beings, expressionless as mannequins in a shop window, have only one impulse: to hunt down those who remain healthy and not stop until they've killed them all. Laia has been seeing it in her dreams since she was a child: the sky divided into squares, Seville burning under the impossible light that descends from the dome. But the end of the world erupts the spring when Diana is in Germany, so far away from her. Communications collapse. The electricity goes out. Neither of them knows if they'll reach the other alive, but all they can do now is try.
