The peaceful life of Masayasu, a peasant samurai, is shattered when warriors attack his village, and he realizes he isn't strong enough to save them all. Hanzô, a shinobi apprentice, rescues him at the last moment, and impressed by his talent, Masayasu decides to become a shinobi himself.
