Qué nos ha pasado, España : De la ilusión al desencanto

Franco boasted of having left everything "tied up and secure" so that his regime would continue beyond his own life. However, in the months following his death, we Spaniards slowly but surely untied the knots that bound us to the past, freeing ourselves from the rigid corset we had worn for over forty years. This fraught process reached its first major milestone on June 15, 1977, the day we went to the polls for the first time since 1936 to elect our representatives to the Cortes. Now, forty years after those elections, and with the generation born in democracy having questioned almost the entire work of the Transition, Fernando Ónega takes on the challenge of analyzing and understanding how Spanish society has evolved from hope to disillusionment in such a short period.
