The Trojan War is over, and the surviving Greek heroes have returned home. All except one: Odysseus, who has incurred the wrath of the sea god Poseidon, who has thus placed all manner of obstacles in his path to Ithaca, where his faithful Penelope awaits him. But neither giants nor Cyclopes, neither nymphs nor sirens can prevent him from returning to his longed-for homeland and exacting his revenge on those who coveted his wife and his fortune.
