During a "white march," a man recalls the events that led his fourteen-year-old son to suicide. Vincent and his wife, Juliette, must overcome their grief to join hundreds of strangers who have come to pay tribute to the memory of their son, Hugo. As the crowd moves silently through the streets of Saint-Nazaire, Vincent talks to himself and revisits the past. Why did Hugo succumb to the harassment of two cruel boys? Where did he and Juliette go wrong? How can he forgive those who made his son a target and those who allowed it?
