Gao Ying arrives in Guangzhou to begin his Fine Arts studies, but to his surprise, the university residence is still closed, forcing him to stay in a dilapidated old hotel. Soon, unsettling events begin to occur, and Gao Ying starts to suspect that the hotel and its owner, an eccentric aristocrat from the Qing Dynasty, are hiding more secrets than they let on.
