The murders of his loved ones drive the protagonist, Stanislaw, to become a kind of courageous man, embarking on a relentless investigation that takes him through a village in the province of Tarragona and the city of Madrid (Spain), and even to San Juan de los Morros (Venezuela) in his quest for revenge. During his travels, he finds the comfort and understanding he so desperately needs in a woman named Patricia, originally from Extremadura. Tormented by his circumstances and by the complete concealment of his true self, Stanislaw withdraws from Patricia's life and retreats, far from her, to reflect on what has happened to him and his actions. However, she cannot resist a powerful attraction that compels her to delve deeper into his story, trying to uncover why so many questions remain unanswered. He had prepared himself for everything except to be ensnared by the love embodied in Patricia.
