I'm Beca. I'm twelve years old, and my life... is a complete mess. My mom lives thousands of miles away, my best friend is acting really weird, and I'm starting high school without knowing a soul. Great, right? This year is going to be full of changes. But amidst mental lists, drama, and bouts of embarrassment, there's also music, a garage that's starting to feel like a refuge, three girls I'm sharing more and more with, and a boy who —even though I don't want to admit it— makes me smile more than I should.
