A man always accompanied by a swarm of bees; a young woman who runs away from home to live among the Sioux; a mother who refuses to dispose of her son's body; a boy who falls in love with someone who attracts too much attention. Intertwined characters whose secrets give meaning to their lives and the lives of those around them. Between the real and the symbolic, the stories in "Cutting Your Hair" compose an intimate ritual about loss —of innocence, of others, of the body, of the self— where death is sometimes presented as a domestic, acceptable matter, and at other times as something that can only be recounted through extraordinary beings: vampires, ghosts, werewolves, or creatures with impossible hair.
