A wondrous discovery offers the world clean and limitless energy: the Electron Bomb. Its operation is based on the exchange of matter with a parallel universe governed by slightly different physical laws than our own. But could this miraculous energy source pose a major threat to the very fabric of our reality? So say some scientists, who find themselves ignored by a public eager for abundant energy and discredited by their peers involved in the Bomb's discovery. No one seems capable of halting the insidious process that will inexorably lead to the extinction of the human species. At least, no one in our universe. In the Para-Universe, the Bomb's place of origin, beings with almost unimaginable biology and life processes are making their own alarming discoveries. The emotional Dua, the rational Odeen, and the paternal Tritt form a triad of malleable creatures who merge to reproduce. Warned of the risks of exchanging matter with our universe, they mobilize all their resources to resolve them under the guidance of the solid beings who constitute the elite of their dying civilization. Among them is the mysterious and elusive Estwald, who seems to be the only one capable of saving both universes.
