A long-term couple confronts the truth in the midst of a sweltering summer; two friends who are practically one and the same, yet for whom the sea is not quite the same; a lunch of offal where the best cook will be decided; a woman digging with her bare hands in search of more space; a tourist with a broken ankle who can no longer walk with her family; the last morning of a couple who still love each other. Around them are cavities, caves, and abysses, sometimes imaginary, sometimes not: a deep fissure in the earth or in the flesh.
