Noche blanca

In a village in southern Poland, the white nights illuminate the lives of its inhabitants: the ill-fated Pilot, determined to dig a pond to raise carp; his best friends, Andrzej and Piotrek; the hairdresser Anka; the lovestruck Henia; and little Dorotka. Faced daily with poverty, loneliness, and brutality, they form a human mosaic in which their unfulfilled destinies and their yearning to be heard are delicately interwoven.
