Contento del mundo

The forced water landing of the Three Wise Men in the Vigo estuary, the suicide of a university professor at the Pórtico de la Gloria of Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, the bewilderment of a bachelor who one day discovers that his house smells unbearably "like Galicia," the performance of circus monkeys dressed in the rival football team's jersey... The short stories in this book (forty-four in just over one hundred pages) are like police reports or journalistic chronicles of situations as real as life itself. In a direct, literarily clean style, they narrate small, cruel, absurd, or grotesque tales that will take the reader from astonishment to outright laughter.
