El patio (TrilogÃa de Tue 1)
$ 25.45
Tue's world revolves around the farm. There, at the end of a long, dusty road, he lives with his parents and siblings. They have eight dogs, a few cows, and a pile of animal carcasses in the back yard.
Above Tue's bed, a phosphorescent star is stuck on with chewing gum. His father, a rather choleric fellow, reads the newspaper in reverse order, always starting with the obituaries. His mother spends her time playing cards online and hardly speaks, though she has a beautiful voice.
Breakfast consists of stale bread with butter and sugar. The family is broke, but thanks to raising dogs, selling gold teeth, or stealing copper wire, they can occasionally afford a bottle of California wine, which makes them feel like they're on vacation. But Tue yearns for more, and the only thing keeping him afloat is his creativity and resourcefulness.
