At twenty-six, Sonsoles leaves her small hometown to work in the imposing mansion of the Vargas family, owners of the salt flats that sustain the prosperity of a Mediterranean coastal city. There, she encounters a strict environment, ruled with an iron fist by a matriarch who inspires both respect and fear. As the weeks pass, Sonsoles realizes that the mansion's inhabitants harbor more than one secret.
