When four bodies are found in the church of a small northern town, Commissioner Adam de la Cruz and Inspector Bruno Dávila travel to the scene to assist in the investigation. Everything points to suicide, but one of the victims has the phrase "Hello, Commissioner de la Cruz" written on their leg. Someone seems to be one step ahead of the police. The investigation unfolds in a scene full of unknowns just as the town is about to celebrate its harvest festival. The past connects more than one person involved and involves an orphanage, the Rous Pavilion, and what happened at 108 steps. A terrifying game. It's time to play the wolf's game.
