Agatha Raisin y el crimen de la mansión (Agatha Raisin, 10)

Heartbroken after yet another rejection from her beloved Colonel James Lacey, the indomitable Agatha Raisin consults a fortune teller: she will find true love in Norfolk. Without a second thought, and determined to break free from her peaceful life in Carsely, Agatha leaves the village and settles in a charming cottage in Fryfam. There, she awaits the arrival of her prince charming, enjoying the warm welcome from the local ladies, whom she charms by pretending to write a detective novel entitled *Crime in the Manor*. However, a series of strange events disrupt her tranquility and that of her new home: odd lights are seen dancing in the gardens, her beloved cats disappear, and there are thefts of pottery and paintings, including a famous canvas by the renowned painter George Stubbs. Soon, stories even begin to circulate about the presence of fairies… Unfortunately, our heroine’s propensity for getting into trouble leads her into a series of dangerous relationships, and when the local landowner, Tolly Trumpington-James, is found dead in the same manner Agatha Christie had envisioned in her novel, she becomes the prime suspect. Although she is able to return to Carsely, she decides to stay and, in the company of Charles Fraith, attempt to solve a mystery so incredibly intricate that it seems impossible to unravel.
