Comprender y aprender : Cómo favorecer la comprensión lectora en el aula

Comprehension has a fundamental impact on student learning, particularly regarding complex learning—that is, learning that requires understanding and acting upon reality. Key questions—such as how we comprehend, what goes wrong when comprehension fails, and how expectations, emotions, and motivation interact with the underlying cognitive processes—are increasingly being illuminated by research. This book aims to guide teachers in creating instructional situations, applying strategies, and selecting texts and reading tasks that foster students' reading comprehension and support formative assessment.
