Elmar is a little elephant who lives in the Borneo rainforest. One morning, he wakes up alone, without his mother, and decides to search for her through the intricate tropical forest. Along the way, he encounters other animals and asks them questions. Overwhelmed and confused, Elmar only manages to annoy his neighbors, who, frustrated by his clumsiness, respond rudely. When he finally finds his mother, she asks him why he is sad. Elmar tells her about his unfortunate encounters with his neighbors. She reassures him, praising his virtues and pointing out that he shouldn't pay attention to other people's opinions, that those who offended him don't really know him. Those who can truly appreciate him are his family and close friends, and that what matters is what one thinks of oneself, not what others say.
