La tonalidad del pensamiento

In April 2023, Byung-Chul Han traveled to Portugal for the first time and gave lectures in Porto and Lisbon. Days later, he presented a musical lecture in Leipzig—also for the first time. *The Tonality of Thought*—the book you hold in your hands—grew out of these lectures. The Leipzig musical lecture, "The Tonality of Thought"—which featured piano performances of the author's favorite pieces—gives this work its title; in it, Han outlines the tones and themes that run through his philosophy and reflects on the importance of music in his body of work. In Porto, during the lecture "On Eros," the author explores the meaning of love, while in Lisbon he presents "On Hope," a reflection on the significance of this virtue in the present day.
