In the endless desert of Chinchaquetechincha, where lizards tiptoe about and coyotes howl, lives Pedro Pedrusco alongside the most thick-headed and disagreeable gang of outlaws imaginable. That is where Rosa Violín del Álamo Azul winds up, a damsel who appears harmless but will cast a spell on Pedro, transforming him into the terrible "leecántropo".
