Fieras interiores

A book that guides us through a territory as fascinating as it is disturbing: the human body inhabited, sometimes subjugated, by microscopic creatures and parasites that silently shape what we are. Andrés Cota Hiriart, zoologist and naturalist, writes here a work of literature that interweaves some scientific reflections with his family memories with clever humor. Inner beasts lead us to conceive the human organism as a fierce ecosystem where madness and sanity merge and, almost always, are confused.
