Olivia Rauch is desperate. Her adopted daughter, Alma—only eleven years old—urgently needs a bone marrow donor. When Olivia contacts the adoption agency, she is told the file is confidential and contains a warning that a data leak would endanger the birth mother's life. As she leaves the center, a woman tells her about "The Calendar Girl," an urban legend concerning a young woman who retreated to a remote cabin in the woods, where a candle burned in the kitchen window night and day. Olivia embarks on a race against time to find Alma’s birth parents and uncover the connection between the myth and her daughter.
