One cold winter morning, the body of a teenage girl is found at a bus stop on the outskirts of Madrid. Inspector Iván Moreno and Sub-Inspector Jotadé Cortés, the only Romani officer at their station, discover that she is a young woman who mysteriously disappeared years earlier and has been murdered after giving birth. She is the latest in a long line of kidnapped women who have been killed immediately after becoming mothers. Jotadé must confront this new case while navigating a crisis with his partner, Lola, and simultaneously trying to help Lucía, who is dealing with a new and disturbing incident at the juvenile detention center where she now resides. When another girl disappears, Jotadé will have to rely on his extraordinary intuition and look within his immediate circle, where a terrible truth has been hidden for years.
