Teatro II
by Henrik Ibsen
$ 28.95
This book is the result of several years of work by the translator, Cristina Gómez-Baggethun, and was made possible by Ibsen in Translation, an ambitious project of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NORLA, and the Centre for Ibsen Studies.
This volume, which we now present to Spanish-speaking readers, contains the four plays Ibsen wrote during his last productive decade: Solness the Builder (1892), Little Eyolf (1894), John Gabriel Borkman (1896), and When the Dead Awaken (1899). They are the work of a mature Ibsen who, from the height of his fame, looks back, reaffirms his status as a poet, and strives to escape the pigeonholes in which he feels confined. In fact, these four plays constitute a kind of dramatic epilogue to his controversial body of work.
